Hey mom! As you near baby day, things can get a bit more stressful and uncomfortable. As always it is so important to take care of your body and mind. So here are a few tips for staying healthy and as comfortable as possible.
- Baths (Taking long baths really helps with swelling, irritation, and stress. Adding Epsom Salts and oatmeal lavender compresses is a big plus.
- Dry Brushing, Massages, and Magnesium (This helps with all the aches and pains and can soften the appearance of stretch marks.)
- Aloe Vera (Helps with skin irritation.)
- Pregnancy Pillow
- Arts & Crafts (Coloring Books, Paint-By-Number, Knitting, etc. This helps with stress.)
- Oils and Lotions
- Books and Movies (if you like reading, books are a wonderful option and settling down to a favorite or new movie, is also a great form of self-care.)
- Comfort Food (Nourishing your body is super important. Fish, chia seeds, fruit, leafy greens, nuts, avocados, berries, eggs, and dates, are all great healthy options.)
- Naps
- Walks (long or short, movement is super key and can be refreshing.)
As always check with your care provider and do what feels best to you. There are also so many other great resources out there, that can give you more great tips. Take care, you’ve got this!!!
